Manghini was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . With this he took part in the South American Championship in December 1959 , when Uruguay won the continental championship. His only international match was at that tournament when he came on for Horacio Troche on December 16, 1959 in the 5-0 win against Argentina . He did not score an international goal.
