Cattle broke

The cattle break is a stretch of land in the northern region of Hanover and the southern district of Heidekreis . The area is essentially pasture and meadow areas for the local livestock industry.

The river Grindau flows through the cattle break .

The area became known through intensive groundwater extraction, which lost its boggy character. After the drinking water supply was reduced, the area returned to its original shape in places.
