Vigogne

The Vigogne , also Germanized Vigone , is a fiber mixture of cotton and sheep's wool originally used as an imitation for the vicuna yarn originating from the vicuna .

In the meantime, fiber blends of cotton and viscose or synthetic fibers were also called Vigogne.

Now Vigogne is mostly used with a proportion of approx. 97% cotton and 3% sheep wool for the production of carded yarn .

Fabrics made of vigoga yarn can be roughened well, are warm and absorbent. They are particularly suitable for winter clothing, work clothing and jerseys .
