Vila Boa is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Barcelos . The community had 2,454 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the territorial reform on September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Vila Boa, Vila Frescainha (São Martinho) , Vila Frescainha (São Pedro) and Barcelos became the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Barcelos, Vila Boa e Vila Frescainha (São Martinho e São Pedro ) summarized.
