Villa, Salmannsdorfer Höhe 10

The Villa at the address Salmannsdorfer height 10 in the 19th Vienna district Döbling is built in the style of a feudal castle Villa.

history

The Villa Salmannsdorfer Höhe 10 was owned by the Austrian Post. Immediately to the northeast at the address Sieveringer Straße 245 is a villa built in 1879 by the architect and town builder Wilhelm Fraenkel (1844–1916). This was also owned by the Austrian Post and was or is also known as the “Yellow Villa” and “Post Villa”. At least the latter, which the Reitzes banking family had built, was Aryanized and an additional payment was agreed after a restitution procedure. Around 2001, the Post sold the approximately 30,000 square meter property with the two villas. At least the Villa Salmannsdorfer Höhe 10 bought Martin Schlaff and converted the villa. Among other things, he built an underground car park for around 14 cars and an outbuilding on an area of 711 square meters as a garden villa. In one of the “most expensive” divorces in the world, the main villa became the property of his ex-wife Andrea in 2008.
