history

The villa was built in 1892 for the mayor of Zwittau and textile industrialist Johann Budig (1832–1915). Johann Budig was mayor of the city from 1879 to 1884 and from 1894 to 1902, and from 1876 to 1885 member of the Austrian Parliament .
