The Villa Groterjan is an Art Nouveau villa built between 1905 and 1907 in Milastraße 2 in the Berlin district of Pankow , Prenzlauer Berg . The master brewer Christoph Groterjan was the client for the residential and administrative building . The property was expanded to include a hall and a beer garden with a music pavilion. The beer garden offered space for 1,500 guests. The 500 square meter dining room included a bowling alley and a typical Berlin ballroom. In 1908 the restaurant business went bankrupt and was sold.

The Mila light shows, which were used by DEFA foreign trade after the Second World War until 1992, were located in the hall building. After years of vacancy, the villa was renovated to meet the requirements of a historic monument and is once again used as a restaurant.
