The Villa Mettlen is a country estate in the municipality of Muri bei Bern in the canton of Bern .

The Mettlengut was first mentioned in a document in 1650. The first landlord was called Samuel Ougspurger and was married to Jacqueline von Graffenried . Around 1750, Johann Albrecht Steiger expanded the manor house in an elaborate and artistic way. In addition to a few other owners, Count Karl Friedrich von Pourtalès in particular left his mark on it. In the 1960s, the municipality of Muri - in accordance with the wishes of the previous owner César Gustav Tauber - acquired the villa and converted it into a meeting and cultural center. The building has been the seat of the Muri-Gümligen Music School since 1970. The ground floor and the vaulted cellars are also rented out for private events.
