The Villa Mooser-Nef (also: Villa Mooser or Villa Moser ) in Zurich is a listed building.

The ensemble on Lake Zurich , which in addition to the villa also includes a boat and bath house, dates from 1912 (villa), 1924 (boat and bath house) and 1939 (garage). According to the protocol of the Zurich City Council of July 6, 2005, it represents a rare example of completely preserved bourgeois living culture at the beginning of the last century for the city of Zurich . From 2004 the villa and boathouse were renovated.

The villa was originally the home of the architect Emil Staehli and was planned by the architects Niedermann & Staehli. It is named after the pastor family Mooser-Nef, who lived in the villa since 1923.

The property at Seestrasse 431 including the buildings had been owned by the City of Zurich since 1990. It was purchased at a price of 2.5 million Swiss francs to enable a lakeshore path between the shipyard of the Zürichsee-Schifffahrtsgesellschaft and the Wollishofen boat harbor , although the full length of the path was not built in the originally planned form. The villa was initially inhabited by the former owners Helena and Elisabeth Mooser, who had lifelong tenancy rights. After these tenants died in 2000, the villa was rented to a shared apartment and was later temporarily inhabited by Matthias Hartmann . The current residents paid 3.2 million Swiss francs for the property as well as 250,000 francs annual building lease interest . Use is limited to 60 years, with two extensions of 15 years each.
