Villa Schlenker

The Villa Schlenker (also: Schlenker-Grusen-Villa) is a listed building at Oberdorfstrasse 16 in Villingen-Schwenningen . It was built in 1905 as Jakob Schlenker's home, the founder of ISGUS , in the immediate vicinity of the factory complex. Ernst Bader painted them in.

In 1990 it was also entered in the monument book. This established that it is a "cultural monument of particular importance" and ensured that it is under special protection.

The building was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Monument Protection Prize in 1993. It is one of the most important Art Nouveau villas in southwest Germany. The restoration of their historical windows while allowing thermal insulation became "a model for many thousands of historical windows in Baden-Württemberg".
