Vinacomin ( Vietnamese Tập đoàn công nghiệp Than và Khoáng sản Việt Nam - TKV) is the state-owned Vietnamese mining company. The most important mining products are hard coal , which is mined in several open-cast mines in Halong Bay , and bauxite . Vinacomin also operates coal-fired power plants and an aluminum smelter in the Đắk Nông province .

In 2014 the company mined 37.4 million tons of coal. With 120,000 employees, Vinacomin is one of the largest employers in the country.
