Vince Voltage

Vince Voltage (* in Nürtingen ) is a German photographer, visual artist and musician.

Career

Voltage is guitarist for the band Pussy Sisster and solo musician. During his concert tours Voltage discovered photography for himself and began to develop the medium autodidactically.

From 2009 Voltage began to professionalize his photographic work. In 2015, Voltage joined the Stuttgart artist group “Kunscht”, which has since been renamed “Platform 11”. With models from the fetish area, he designed his first series of pictures "iron republic" in 2016, which was exhibited in the rooms of the Stuttgart District Court. This was followed by further exhibitions in galleries and at scene events, two self-published illustrated books as well as magazine and newspaper features.

Voltage has become known beyond the borders of the German-speaking area. His photographs are printed in international art magazines. An exhibition of his work took place in Canada in July 2019. His mostly erotic motifs play with breaking sexual taboos and gender roles. Voltage finds its themes in the fetish, cyberpunk and end-of-time scene. For his work he draws on the collaboration of professional and hobby models.

At public appearances and vernissages, Voltage himself appears in a cloakroom that matches his work.
