The Stuttgart District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction . Along with the Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt district court, it is one of two district courts in the city of Stuttgart and one of eleven district courts in the district of the Stuttgart regional court .

Jurisdiction and seat

The seat of the court is Stuttgart .

The judicial district includes the city districts of Stuttgart-Mitte , -Nord , -Ost , -Süd , -West , -Botnang , -Hedelfingen , -Wangen , -Sillenbuch , -Birkach , -Plieningen , -Degerloch , -Möhringen and -Vaihingen . The Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt District Court is responsible for the districts of Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt and in the north of the city.

The courthouse is located at Hauffstrasse 5 in 70190 Stuttgart. It was rebuilt as part of the merger of several court departments and moved into in 1991. It also houses the Baden-Württemberg State Social Court .

The court is one of the five presidential office courts in the state of Baden-Württemberg ; The next higher instance is the Stuttgart Regional Court . The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court in Stuttgart .
