The violin zither or violin harp is a string instrument from the string zither family.

With the violin zither, each tone is produced on its own string . The violin zither bow is about 50 cm long. A sheet of backing notes can be placed between two rows of string strings . For the melody accompaniment, 5 to 6 chords can be struck with the second hand.
