Virgin Island Fencing Federation

The Virgin Island Fencing Federation is the national umbrella organization for the sport of fencing in the American Virgin Islands . She is a member of the national Olympic Committee there as well as of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime and the American continental association Confederación Panamericana de Esgrima . The current President is Erik Pattison , General Secretary Joyce Bolanos .

history

The Virgin Island Fencing Federation joined the FIE in 1984. In the same year, participants from the American Virgin Islands also took part in the Olympic Games for the first and only time . The three participants did not get past the preliminary rounds. In 2015, four fencers from the U.S. Virgin Islands were registered with the FIE for participating in international competitions.
