Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association

The Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association (VRTBA) was the lobby for road, bridge, path, and railroad construction companies in the state of Virginia . It was the Virginia branch of the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), founded in New York in 1902 and based in the federal capital Washington , which promotes the interests of its members through lobbying and public relations work, in particular by influencing legislation , state and local budgets and trade inspection . The aim of the association formulated by ARTBA is to aggressively increase and secure investments in transport infrastructure.

In 2005, the VRTBA merged with the Virginia Aggregates Association, the association of building materials companies, to form the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) in order to better represent their common interests.

The VRTBA and VTCA offices are located in Richmond , the capital of Virginia.
