Virtual library for theology and religious studies

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Virtual Library of Theology and Religious Studies (VirTheo) was an online offer of the University Library of Tübingen "for online research for theology as well as general and comparative religious studies". It existed from July 2007 (test version) until the end of 2014 and was accessible via www.virtheo.de.

Using a meta search engine , users were able to research selected library catalogs, academic Internet offers and theological specialist databases (e.g. the index theologicus ). In addition, the portal offered date information on theological events, current news from the disciplines of theology and the churches as well as services for students and teachers of theology and religious studies, including the online tutorial "LOTSE" for theology and religious studies.
