Visarga

The Visarga ( Sanskrit : विसर्ग ) is a sign of the Indian scriptures . In terms of appearance, the Visarga resembles a colon in most Indian scripts .

In Sanskrit the Visarga represents a final voiceless H after a vowel. It occurs almost exclusively at the end of a word and is always written after the vowel or, in the case of the inherent vowel, also after the consonant. In the transliteration, the Visarga is represented with the letter .
