A Viscope ( V ISUAL I nformation Scope ) is an opto-mechanical device for sighting distant objects on the horizon.

The specialty is the mirroring of additional information (symbols, writing) in the field of view. The device is rotatably mounted on a vertical axis so that it can be swiveled over the entire panorama. It is more of a monocular sighting device than a telescope , as there is no optical magnification. The round field of view is approx. 35 degrees. The manufacturer advertises independence from electrical energy, but this means that the display only works when there is sufficient daylight.
