Viktor Kamotsky (born April 20, 1963 in Minsk ) is a former Soviet - Belarusian cross-country skier .

Career

Kamotsky started internationally for the first time at the 1991 Winter Universiade in Sapporo . There he won the gold medal in the 30 km freestyle. He ran his first of a total of 16 individual World Cup races in December 1991 in Ramsau am Dachstein , which he finished in 44th place in the 10 km freestyle. At the World Championships in March 1993 in Falun , he finished 41st place over 50 km freestyle, 22nd place over 10 km classic and 20th place over 30 km classic. This was also his best individual result in the World Cup. He also achieved seventh place with the relay. At the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer the following year he came in 31st place over 30 km freestyle, 28th place over 10 km classic and 21st place over 50 km classic. Together with Igor Obukhov , Sjarhej Dalidowitsch and Vyacheslav Plaksunow he won the 12th place in the season. He completed his last World Cup race in March 1994 in Lahti , which he finished in 40th place over 15 km freestyle.
