Viscount Canterbury
Viscount Canterbury , of the City of Canterbury , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award and subordinate titles
The title was bestowed on March 10, 1835, to Sir Charles Manners-Sutton , a Tory politician and former Speaker of the House of Commons . Together with the Viscountcy he was awarded the subordinate title Baron Bottesford , of Bottesford in the County of Leicester . The titles expired when the 6th Viscount died on February 26, 1941.
