Viscount Sackville

Viscount Sackville , of Drayton in the County of Northampton , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Great Britain .

Award

The title was created on February 9, 1782 for the politician and military man Lord George Germain . He was the third born son of Lionel Cranfield Sackville, 1st Duke of Dorset . Along with the Viscountcy he was given the subordinate title of Baron Bolebrooke , in the County of Sussex.

His son, the 2nd Viscount, also inherited the title of 5th Duke of Dorset and subordinate title in 1815 , but died childless on July 29, 1843, so that all of his titles became void.
