vitamin de is a language learning magazine for young German learners and teachers worldwide. The aim of the magazine is to strengthen German as a foreign language abroad and to convey a current image of Germany. vitamin de offers a wide range of texts for reading comprehension on the subjects of regional studies, youth and the way of life in Germany. The texts are edited and marked according to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(A2 to C1). Worksheets and audio versions of selected texts can be downloaded from www.vitaminde.de/daf. The magazine appears four times a year and is distributed in over 70 countries worldwide. Vitamin de has most readers in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in East and Central Asia. The magazine has its main representation at the association "vitamin de eV" in Berlin, and an important production location with sales is Omsk in Russia.

Vitamin de was founded in 2002 by Tillmann Heß and Robert Teschner, who is the magazine's editor-in-chief. The magazine is supported and professionally advised by the Goethe-Institut Russia, the Central Office for Schools Abroad , the Institute for Foreign Relations and the Robert Bosch Stiftung's lecturer program .
