Vladimir Oravsky (born January 22, 1947 in Czechoslovakia ) is a Swedish writer and director .

life and career

Before Vladimir Oravsky decided to live full-time as a writer, he worked as a mechanical engineer and assembly line designer. In Sweden , Denmark , Switzerland, Thailand and the USA, Vladimir Oravsky survived as a dishwasher, cleaner, newspaper deliverer, dock worker, gold washer , pea picker; Tractor driver, cook, actor, photographer, translator, copywriter, literary critic, dramaturge, editor, teacher, cultural bureaucrat and as a cultural manager in Umeå, as a film and theater director and as a producer. Vladimir Oravsky's books have been published by many publishers, such as Student literature, h: ström, Text und Kultur, Nya Doxa, Symposium, Raket-Verlag, Lundtofte Publishing, De Rode Kramer, Wydawnictwo Czarne and Branner and Koch. Vladimir Oravsky has published books for children and young people and wrote plays and screenplays. Like his role model George S. Kaufmann, he often worked with co-authors, including Kurt Peter Larsen, Daniel Malmén, Lars von Trier and Jakob Stegelmann.

Awards

Vladimir Oravsky and Kurt Peter Larsen jointly won the International Prize for the Best Play for Children in 2006, organized by the “International Playwrights' Forum, International Theater Institute / ITI and ASSITEJ” (International Association of Theater for Children and Young People) for their contribution “ AAAHR !!! ”,“ The Diary of Zlata Ibrahimivic ”by Vladimir Oravsky and Daniel Malmén was one of the plays that won a prize at the Royal Drama Theater / Elverket in Stockholm.
