The Teltow bird park (also Teltow bird park with petting zoo ) is a private zoo in Teltow , a town in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .

history

Annemarie and Horst Lübeck have been running a private bird park since 1968 , which they opened to visitors in 1990. The bird park was gradually expanded into a petting zoo. Since 2017 there has been a conflict with the city administration over the subsequent approval of horse boxes and the further development and renovation of the zoo.

Animals

The park houses 300 to 350 animals such as goats, sheep, donkeys, ponies, pot-bellied pigs, guinea pigs and rabbits, wild boars, fallow deer, roe deer and pet birds. In addition, some exotic species such as monkeys, parrots, peacocks and ornamental fish can be seen.
