Voice or Noise is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Yamimaru Enjin , which was published in Japan from 2003 to 2015. The story is about the relationship of a middle school student to a young professor who can both talk to animals.

content

Middle school student Shinichiro goes to the veterinarian Ikegami with his dog Flappy, who has been barking at all other dogs lately and dragging in dead cats. He realizes that Flappy is not physically missing and recommends Shinichiro to visit his friend Narusawa. Because the lecturer could talk to animals and so maybe cure Flappy. Narusawa weighs down and says he can't talk to animals. But Shinichiro knows this is possible because he talked to a cat himself as a child. Eventually he meets Narusawa's cat, Eight, with whom he can talk. When Narusawa notices this, he gives in and speaks to Flappy. He thought he was a young wolf and behaved accordingly wildly, but Narusawa can convince him that he is only a dog.

After Flappy's healing, Shinichiro resolves to learn for himself how to talk to all animals. He visits Narusawa again and again to learn from him. But he is not at all enthusiastic about it at first, although Ikegami also advises him to help Shinichiro. Shinichiro usually talks with eight and learns that Narusawa and Ikegami are a couple. Over time, however, Narusawa also takes Shinichiro into his heart and the middle school student himself becomes unsure of his feelings for Narusawa.
