Vojtěch Petráček (born February 17, 1964 in Prague ) is a Czech nuclear physicist and university professor, since February 2018 he has been the rector of the Czech Technical University (CVUT) in Prague

Live and act

After graduating from high school in Nad Štolou in the Prague district of Letná , Petráček studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University from 1982 , completing his doctorate in 1987.

In 2014 he ran for the first time unsuccessfully in the rectorate election of ČVUT. In the 2017 candidacy, he was elected and appointed to this position by President Milos Zeman with effect from February 1, 2018 at the end of January 2018 .
