The Levassor Nunatak (in Argentina Cerro Gancedo ) is an approximately 550 m high and striking horseshoe-shaped nunatak on the Trinity Peninsula in the far north of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 1.5 km inland in the middle of the Cugnot Piedmont Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1964 after the French automobile pioneer Émile Levassor (1844-1897). In Argentina, the nunatak has been named after a member of an Argentine Antarctic expedition since 1978.
