Volcom Entertainment is an American record label based in Costa Mesa , California . The label was officially founded in 1995 in the neighboring town of Newport Beach by Ryan Immegart (singer and guitarist of theLine band ) and Richard Woolcott (founder of the company Volcom Clothing ). Immegart was the first Volcom sponsored snowboarder, his love for music and his friendship with Woolcott finally convinced him to start a record label as part of the Volcom family.

As a globally known lifestyle clothing brand, Volcom provided the perfect base for the surf / skate / snowboarding community to introduce theLine's self-titled debut . In the following six months, the album sold over 5000 times despite unconventional marketing (e.g. sales in surf / skate / snowboard shops). In the years that followed, the label grew through both conventional and unconventional marketing, releasing bands like CKY , Vaux and Pepper . Volcom Entertainment has had its own stage on the Warped Tour since 1997 .

Volcom Entertainment is part of the EastWest Records label family.
