Volker Bengl
Volker Bengl (born July 19, 1960 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
Bengl first completed an apprenticeship as a chemistry laboratory assistant before he started singing at the age of twenty. He studied singing at the University of Music Mannheim / Heidelberg and took private lessons with Rudolf Schock , Rina del Monaco and Erika Köth . For over 16 years, Volker Bengl was engaged at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich. In addition, he was and is a guest on over 50 German-speaking stages, such as B. at the Vienna Volksoper , the Deutsche Oper Berlin or at the Dresden Semperoper . His repertoire includes around 80 opera and operetta roles. He has given almost 1000 concerts worldwide (as of 2019).
