Volker Haeseler

Volker Haeseler is a German biologist and professor emeritus for terrestrial ecology at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg .

Volker Haeseler and his working group (AG) work in terrestrial ecology, with a focus on animal ecology. The group works on different animal groups, with a focus on insects and other invertebrates ( invertebrates ). Species diversity, interactions, bionomy and synecological aspects are examined and compared. The focus is on hymenoptera ( Hymenoptera ), which have a special control function in various areas (e.g. as pollinators of flowering plants or as antagonists of various invertebrates). He is committed to the protection of the European coastal dunes. Since 1976 he has been co-editor of the trade journal DROSERA.
