The Volkswagen Insurance Service GmbH Austria is a subsidiary of Porsche Bank and belongs to the Volkswagen family. The company's headquarters are in Vienna.

The company was founded in 1953. Since then, the VVD has brokered and managed vehicle insurance policies that are tailored precisely to the needs of the drivers of Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Škoda, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti. Of course, motorcyclists and motorists of all other brands can also be insured with VVD. With a total of 2.4 million policies issued and around 330,000 claims settlement in the last 10 years, it is the largest insurance service provider in Austria . Every third Group vehicle newly registered in Austria is insured through VVD.

The aim of the company is, in coordination with the VW group companies and its pool insurance companies Generali and UNIQA, to offer buyers of Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Seat, Škoda, Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles vehicles appropriate vehicle insurance.
