The census in Serbia takes place every ten years, the current census is from September 30, 2011.

history

Censuses in Serbia were carried out in 2011, 2002, 1991, 1981, 1971, 1961, 1953, 1948, 1931 and 1921. In 1941 the census was canceled because of the Second World War .

The independent Principality of Serbia carried out the first census in 1834. The following nine counts took place between 1841 and 1874. During the era of the Kingdom of Serbia , six censuses were carried out between 1884 and 1910. Only after the First World War was a census carried out again in 1921.
