The volley16wien club , originally WAT Ottakring volleyball division , is a volleyball club from Vienna , has existed for more than 15 years and has been managed independently by the current board since 1999, initially as a division and later as an independent club. In June 2003 the association volley16wien was founded by the same board members. volley16wien not only pursues the purpose of forming competitive teams, but it is also important to the officials to create the most suitable place for them in the club under socially competent supervision for all motivated girls, regardless of their physical and social conditions. Social cooperation under professional supervision is the association's credo.

Successes in recent years

In 2001 the successful coaching team around Andreas Majoros made it to the WVL (top division) with almost exactly the girls' team that had taken it over three years earlier. The average age of the team was around 19 years. Since then, the Bundesliga place in the WVL could only be defended with players from their own youngsters. It was even possible to achieve 3rd place in the Austrian Cup with the WVL team from volley16wien, the U21 Final Four in the 2005/06 season and the runner-up title in 2006/07. The greatest success so far in the WVL came in the 2006/07 season when he reached 5th place in the WVL championship round. Almost all of the Viennese junior championships have been won during the last 9 years and the club can proud of many victories in the Austrian Be U19 championships. In the last nine years there were 17 players in the women's national team, 26 in the junior national teams and 45 in the Wr. Active youngsters. In addition to the sporting successes in the performance area, two popular sports teams were founded. In six partner schools, supervisors from the association prepare girls for the school league. In the past few seasons, volley16wien has taken part in numerous major events. In 2016 the club became Austrian champions with its U11 and U17. With the U12 you became Austrian runner-up.
