Volumnia

Volumnia was an ancient Roman actress and dancer from the 2nd half of the 1st century BC. She was a freedwoman of unknown origin (probably Greek) and lover of numerous well-known men of her time. As an actress, she appeared under the name Cytheris . Her admirers and lovers included her previous owner Publius Volumnius , Marcus Antonius (who ended the relationship around 48 BC to marry Fulvia ), Marcus Iunius Brutus and the politician and poet Gaius Cornelius Gallus , who used them in his works Lycoris called.
