Jessy de Smet

Jessy de Smet (born July 8, 1976 in Zottegem ) is a Belgian trance singer. Using her stage name Jessy, she worked with “ The Mackenzie ”, among others , before starting her solo career. This resulted in some hits in Belgium and Great Britain.
Live and act
During her time with "The Mackenzie" she had the hits Innocence , All I Need and Alive in Belgium . Her album Angel won the “Belgian TMF Award” for best album.
In 2002 she released her first solo single called Look @ Me Now . Shortly afterwards, in 2003, she released the French version of this song called Regardez-Moi . The singles Head Over Heels , How Long , Silent Tears and Dancing In The Dark followed . In 2004, the album Rain, produced by Regi Penxten among others, was released in Belgium . De Smet wrote almost all of the pieces on this album himself.
In 2005 she released the single My Star with Verheyen & Vanvaeck .
She has been working with Micky Modelle since summer 2006 . In 2006 they released a remix of Dancing in the Dark . The play became a huge hit in the UK. In 2007 they released the single Over You , a remix of I'll Get Over You from the album Rain . In the summer of 2007, her cover version of the Maria McKee hit Show Me Heaven was a small success.
An album with Mickey models has been announced as well as another album for the Belgian fans. The next single was a song called Getting Out , a duet with Linda Mertens of Milk Inc. , who is also a private friend of de Smet.
She has been working on a new album with various producers since the end of 2008. The album with Mickey models was obviously put on hold for the time being. The first single from this album is titled I Can't Get Enough .
Jessy de Smet is one of the few dance artists who sing live.
