Front tipper refers to a mostly diesel-powered construction site vehicle with a tiltable trough for transporting construction material and excavated material . It is a more compact design of the dump truck .

The terms dumper (from English to dump kippen ; dumper-truck ), Muli , Autoschütter, Motor-Japanese or simply Japanese are widespread .

Front- wheel drive predominates in simple models, while newer or larger front tippers usually have all-wheel drive . For particularly low surface loads, versions with caterpillar drives are available, for example for use in horticulture or on difficult ground. Contrary to the designation front tipper, some current models also have an optional swivel tip trough, which makes it easier to place the bulk goods. In addition, the driver's cab can also be rotated in some models. It is no longer necessary to turn the entire vehicle.

Since 2003 the old GDR construction vehicles have also been used for racing at the German Dumper Championships.
