Apron organization

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An apron organization is a political grouping that is close to a party or is embedded in it.

These organizations benefit from the organizational structures of a party or from its structural support. The collaboration is usually also open to non-party members and is therefore also used to recruit potential members and allies. Unlike the parties themselves, they only address specific interests. This gives them indirect access to people who the party could not win over directly.

If one tries to disguise the closeness to a party, one speaks of a front organization .
