Vorst is a district of the city of Straelen ( Lower Rhine ).

Vorst is the northernmost district of Straelen and borders the districts of Holt and Vossum.
Culture and sights
In the center of the village there is an approximately 300-year-old Lady Chapel, whose exact age cannot be precisely dated. In addition, there are three 60 cm tall stone figures in a house wall in Vorst, which are also known as "The Three Kings". They are most likely the same age as the chapel. The figures and the chapel were possibly a stop on the pilgrimage route to the pilgrimage site of Kevelaer, about 10 km away .
tourism
In Vorst there was a small pub called “To the Three Kings”. Pilgrims rested there to hike on to Kevelaer. There are postcards from the early 20th century.
Eugeniana fossa
The never completed “ Fossa Eugeniana ” canal ran through Vorst . Parts of the old canal bed and the jumps are still visible today.
history
Before that was one of the stations of the Kleinbahn from Kempen to Kevelaer . It belonged to the Geldern circular orbit . It was commissioned on September 1, 1902, and closed in 1932.
