The Administrative Delivery Act (VwZG) regulates the form and procedure of delivery for federal authorities , corporations , institutions and foundations under public law and the state tax authorities in Germany .

After the amendment in 2005, the Administrative Delivery Act was considerably modernized. The regulations have not only been adapted for electronic legal communication, adaptations have also been made in accordance with the changes in the civil law delivery procedure. Registered delivery is also possible, for example by registered delivery or by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt; only registered mail cannot be used for delivery.

The term of administrative delivery is new. If this required physical "handover" before February 1, 2006, Section 1 VwZG is now linked to the notification in accordance with Section 41 of the Administrative Procedure Act .

The special regulation for delivery to civil servants has been abolished, and the legal text has been streamlined from 16 to ten.

The individual federal states have passed their own administrative delivery laws, but these generally reproduce the content identically or refer statically or dynamically to this federal law.
