Weighing form

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A substance in weighing form is of constant mass. This means that its mass no longer changes. A product in weighing form no longer has any hygroscopic properties, does not bind carbon dioxide from the air and has a known stoichiometry. The precipitation form can be converted into the weighing form by annealing and, after cooling, it can be conveniently weighed on the analytical balance.
