The Wälzprägen is a manufacturing process from the group of the depression of the for -pressure forming counts.

With roller embossing, round, rotating tools ( embossing rollers ) are used to depict the engraving contained therein on a workpiece. The elevations on the embossing roller are pressed into the surface of the workpiece. The tool does not slide over the surface.

Roll stamping is used to identify workpieces and for the refinement, structuring and texturing of workpieces, for example in the production of pockets (depressions) that contain lubricants, or for stamping the edges of coins.
