The heat connection value of a network or a customer is the sum of the standard heat demand values of all heat consumption facilities of this network or customer. It is particularly used in the district heating industry .
The standard heat demand is the heat demand of a heating output determined by DIN 4701. However, DIN EN 12831 on heating load has been in force since October 2004 .
