Heat metering service or heat metering service provider are synonymous with companies that record, bill and analyze heating costs.
Services
If a heating system is used jointly for several units in a building (especially rental apartments in an apartment building ), the heating costs ordinance stipulates that the total costs must be divided according to consumption. House owners and property managers usually transfer these tasks to a specialized heat measurement service. This equips the individual residential or commercial rooms with the necessary recording devices, takes over the recording of consumption data at least once a year (depending on the technology used, for example by radio or in person) and uses this data to create the consumption-based billing. Since most heat metering services also offer the recording of hot and cold water consumption as a service, the devices of the heat metering technology also include water meters and heat meters in addition to the heat cost allocators .
