Desert Corridor (Magdala)

The desert corridor is a desert and is located directly at today's city Magdala in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

history

Around 1400 Magdala was a fortified agricultural town . She suffered particularly from the Saxon fratricidal war . The town and castle were destroyed and only partially rebuilt. Much was lost in the Thirty Years' War . The city was relocated to what is now the city. The former city area was part of what is now called a desert corridor .
