WBAP
WBAP is an American news / talk radio station based in Fort Worth , Texas . The Clear Channel Station supplies the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on 820 kHz. WBAP is owned by Cumulus Media . The 50 kW transmitter is located northwest of Mansfield , Texas. At night, the signal can be heard in the southern, central US and Midwest, and quite frequently as far as the border of northern Mexico. During the day, the signal is safe to receive from Oklahoma City to Austin.
WBAP broadcasts the Cumulus talk format and shows by Rick Roberts and Laura Ingraham, as well as the nightly mystery show “ Coast to Coast AM ” with George Noory .

WBAP is one of the oldest stations in Texas and has been broadcasting since 1922. At that time, stations in Texas were also given a callsign starting with "W" instead of "K". The corresponding regulation of the FCC only took effect in January 1923 and WBAP enjoys grandfathering.
