history

Western North Carolina Public Radio, Inc. (WNCPRI) was founded as a non-profit company in 1979 to broadcast a public radio offering for western North Carolina. The university in Asheville helped build the station, and at first, the studios were on the UNCA campus.

Stations

Blue Ridge Public Radio broadcasts the programs "BPR News" and "WCQS" through 19 separate stations.
