history

The company was founded in November 1983 by Melissa Waggener. Her business partner, Pam Edstrom, joined the company the following year, bringing her previous employer, Microsoft, as a customer. In September 2015 the company was renamed WE.

The company's customers include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation , iRobot , Mediatek , Abbott Laboratories , Hoffmann-La Roche , Skype , Takeda and ZTE .
