WHO-5

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The WHO-5- Well-Being -Index ( WHO-Five Well-Being Index ) is a short questionnaire with only five questions, which is supposed to record well-being . It was suggested by the World Health Organization as a screening questionnaire so that further questions could be asked in the interview . The S3 guideline for unipolar depression also recommends this questionnaire as a screening. Values from 0 to 5 can be given for each question. By adding up the values for the answers, a total value is obtained, with a low total value corresponding to a low level of well-being. A value less than 13 should indicate a possible depression . A percentage can also be calculated, which can be used to measure changes. The WHO-5 is available in almost 30 languages and can be downloaded free of charge from the Internet. The questionnaire arose from a step-by-step revision process and there are also standard values and test quality criteria . The test is for adolescents and adults, but has also proven itself in children. The processing time is less than a minute.

Another free questionnaire that tracks depression is the MDI.
