The Kiev jetty or river port of Kiev ( Ukrainian Київський річковий вокзал ) is a listed port terminal in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on the right bank of the Dnieper at the city's most important river port .

The Kiev jetty is located on Postplatz in the historic Podil district and has had the status of an architectural monument since 2011. The terminal has four floors facing the river and two floors facing the Postplatz. The cash register, lockers, cleaning service and other facilities are located on the two lower floors, while a post office, a restaurant and a café are located on the two upper floors.

history

The port building, built between 1957 and 1961 in the form of a motor ship with a turret mast, was originally designed in the style of socialist classicism as a symmetrical building with a colonnade and tower top, but the planning was changed with the thaw period and the construction of the pier became smoother , brighter and more cheerful. On the interior design Ukrainian artists were Ernest Kotkow ( Ернест Іванович Котков ), Valery Lamach ( Валерій Павлович Ламах ) and Ivan Lytowtschenko ( Іван Семенович Литовченко ) involved. Before Euro 2012 , the building was renovated and retail stores were set up.
